We Needed Better Pantry Meals, So We Built PranaMix

PranaMix was started by a Los Angeles family of four: Nitin Bajaj, Nimisha Lotia, Lyra Aaryahi, and Reva Saunskruti.
We are two busy professionals and two high-achieving teenagers. Our days are full: work, school, meetings, workouts, projects, homework, calls, travel, and family responsibilities.
We wanted healthy meals that were made from real ingredients. We also wanted those meals to be practical. Not a two-hour cooking project. Not another protein bar. Not another frozen meal. Not fake meat pretending to be real food.
We wanted something we would actually eat on busy days. So we built it.
The Problem
Most people want better meals at home: more protein, real ingredients, fewer preservatives, less processed food, food that keeps them full, flavor, and something that fits into real life.
But easy options are usually disappointing. Plain canned beans are bland. Frozen meals are limiting. Fake meat feels engineered. Simmer sauces still leave you figuring out the meal. Cooking Indian food from scratch can feel intimidating.
PranaMix solves that starting point.
Why Legumes and Spices
Beans and lentils are already powerful meal foundations. Spices make them craveable. Pressure cooking makes them practical. Meal prep makes them useful all week.
Indian kitchens have spent generations turning humble pantry staples into satisfying meals. PranaMix brings that approach into a simple ready-to-cook kit.
What We Make
We make whole legume meal kits with Indian spice blends. Each kit includes whole beans, lentils, or legumes, a pre-measured Indian spice packet, and simple cooking instructions. You add water, oil or butter, optional fresh ingredients, and your preferred serving base.
